Free Kindle Version of Tears of Gallia!

Tears-ebookcover (2)To help me celebrate the completion of the manuscript of The Accord, you can get a free Kindle version of Tears of Gallia this weekend! Just order it on Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28, and it won’t cost you a thing!

Tears of Gallia is an epic adventure, leading Dave from Gallia to beyond the edge of the galaxy. He will face death yet again, and be stranded on a mythical planet in the ancient past.

Tears of Gallia is about hatred and revenge, time travel, and most of all, love and brotherhood. Be prepared to visit incredible planets and experience the history of Greater Gallia. It also introduces The Accord, a race of machines bent on enslaving all of the universe. After you read it, please let me know what you think, and please write a review on this site, Amazon or Goodreads.com.

New Dave Brewster Novel

Hooray! I just finished the rough draft of book 5 in the Dave Brewster Series of Sci-fi novels. The working title is The Accord, which relates to a villain encountered in the previous book (Tears of Gallia), and not a very reliable Japanese import car.

The Accord examines how our fears can cause us to do terrible things. In order to protect themselves from a perceived threat, the people of Skee Lotho create a race of machines powered by human brains. The separation of man from his senses will eventually change his perception of others and the universe at large, in this case leading to incredible evil.

Of course, the counter-plot is the story of how Dave Brewster and his friends develop their plans to stop The Accord before all of our galaxy is taken over and our worlds and bodies are reduced to simple sources of metal and protein.

The manuscript is now out for editing and review. I need to come up with a cover design and work with my artist on that. So, it will be several weeks before the new adventure is available. I hope you’ll stick around to learn more and check it out. Join the Adventure!

Tears of Gallia is Published!

Tears-ebookcover (2)Book 4 of the Dave Brewster Series has been published and is ready for sale.

Tears of Gallia is a very complex novel featuring the risks of time travel and the persistence of the enemies Dave Brewster has faced in the earlier novels. It peers into the soul of his best friend, General Fa-a-Di of Greater Gallia. The back cover reads:

Following his success at the Grand Conclave on Earth Prime, Dave Brewster and his friends set out to expand the Free Society. However, all is not well in the galaxy. A Maklakar battle station is headed toward Earth. Mysterious ripples in space-time are confounding the Temporal Command. Agents from Predax and the Brotherhood are recruiting other planets to join their crusade against the Free Society.

Setting aside those challenges to help his Gallicean friends, Dave follows them on the Sojourn, an ancient ritual to remember the atrocities of the past. On the two planets in the Gallicea system, Dave learns of the past but also discovers the truth is often visible only to those willing to see.

Tears of Gallia is a story of friendship, faith, and perseverance. Will Dave be able to stop the Brotherhood from starting a galactic war? Can he survive a madman’s attempts to kill him or strand him in the ancient past?

The Hive

HIVE-ebookcover (2)The Hive is the sequel to The Second Predaxian War and will be in print soon. Believe me that I don’t write that fast! I had some delays with my cover art but am making up for it now.

A period of relative galactic peace is dawning at the end of The Second Predaxian War. Now Dave Brewster can confidently resume his mission to found a thousand new colonies for the Council of Humanity. With the assistance of his team and their new allies on Tak-Makla, success seems assured. Unfortunately, the life of an explorer is never that easy.

Join Dave again as he returns to Tak-Makla and makes a discovery that will change the course of mankind forever. Walking through the corridors of The Hive with its ten billion spider-like agents, the last thing he expected to find is a beautiful young woman. What she tells him will contradict everything he knew about human life and evolution, upend the balance of power in two galaxies, and ultimately lead to an unimaginable journey to another galaxy.

The Hive is a story of redemption. No matter which planet we come from, we all bear the scars of our brutal and tyrannical pasts. Our darker side can reappear anytime people become complacent or apathetic. The advances of science and technology only improve our ability to control and manipulate our brothers. Can any of us ever break free of the past and be truly noble and just? The odds are stacked against Dave and Fa-a-Di this time.

The Second Predaxian War

The sequel to Showdown Over Neptune is now in print. The Predaxian Emperor, Nokalez Zendo is featured on the cover. Isn’t he pretty?

SPW-ebookcover (2)Follow the adventures of Dave Brewster and his friends in the sequel to Showdown Over Neptune. The Predaxian Alliance, led by Emperor Zendo, has invaded Greater Gallia in their drive to enslave the galaxy. The first invasion attempt was pushed back, but not before too many brave soldiers were killed or taken prisoner. Now the Predaxians are coming back with their entire fleet, heavily outgunning the forces of Gallia, Kalidus and Earth.

The Second Predaxian War begins at a time of apparent turmoil within the Alliance, as a rising tide of dissent is turning public opinion against the Emperor, who has imprisoned his own son for opposing his imperialistic ways. Can those Predaxians be counted on to help bring down the Emperor, or is this just a lure into a trap?

In order to find new allies and resources, Dave is sent on a mission into unexplored space. Along the way, he discovers another maklan civilization that has developed the most powerful technology the universe has even known. Can they be convinced to help end the carnage and bring peace to this side of the galaxy? Dave’s friendship with Fa-a-Di, De-o-Nu and Jake Benomafolays will be put to the test to find out!

Free Kindle Versions Next Weekend

Both my published books will be available as free Kindle downloads next weekend (Jan 19 and 20). Please check them out and download. The first ten people who write an honest review on amazon.com (and want it) can get a free paperback copy of my next sci-fi book (The Second Predaxian War) for a limited time when it arrives. Send an e-mail to me at karl@karljmorgan.com to let me know what you thought.

Please join me on this adventure. I’ve written a new book that is more of a fantasy than a sci-fi novel. It will start a new series that I hope will amaze you. Thanks for following me on this new stage of my life.

The Second Predaxian War

Now that Showdown over Neptune is published, I thought I’d say a few words about the sequel, titled The Second Predaxian War. At the end of Showdown, the Predaxian Alliance has again invaded the frontiers of Greater Gallia. In the second book, Dave Brewster and his friends need to find a way to turn back the superior forces of the Alliance before their mind control agents can expand their domination of the galaxy. There are more than a few surprising turns in the story which again shows how mysterious and magical our universe is.

My graphic artist is working on sketches for the cover now. After seeing how fabulous the cover for Showdown turned out, I am very excited to see them. I’ll keep everyone posted on the book’s progress.

Kindle versions available

I am thrilled to announce that Kindle versions of Remembrances and Showdown Over Neptune are now available from Amazon. My publisher and I worked hard to get the formatting correct, which is very different from the formatting of a printed book.

Since it was our first attempt, please let me know if we can improve anything, or if we made any obvious mistakes. I’ve also submitted Showdown Over Neptune to Barnes and Noble for the Nook devices. I’ll announce that when I get approval from them.
