It won’t be long now before the launch of Book 4 of the Modern Prophet series, also known as Demonic. Just today I had a e-mail conversation with a friend about graphic violence in novels. While I generally stay away from that, when I started this book, I decided that I wanted to scare the heck out of myself. Well, I think I succeeded. After one more review by my editor and one more read by me, you will be able to find out for yourself.

Demonic is the tale of a man named Bill Watson who finds his world spinning out of control, not that differently from our own. It starts with terrorist beheadings, followed by child enslavement and nuclear war. Then it gets violent. It is a story of the ultimate battle mankind must join between the forces of good and evil. Yet this battle is bigger than our meager planet. Supremely evil forces are at work, and Bill and his newfound sister are the only beings in the universe who can end the reign of terror and reestablish the equilibrium that maintains our existence. Bill and Mary discover their connection to something greater than themselves, and learn that our faith in the Divine is our only hope.
