Book three in the Carl Prescott series steps into another universe. As we learned at the end of book two, Carl Prescott and the Demon Queen, even though Carl carried the three immortals out of the gravity wave, somehow a second universe was created by just the priest and priestess who had joined with the angels.
Of course, that is impossible, and yet, there it is. Several of his friends and professors were sucked through a wormhole that Emmanuel had locked in the amulet. Carl had that amulet hanging from a chain around his neck until Joshua gave it to Burt Jackson instead. Now, Carl and Sylvia will step through the same wormhole in an attempt to save their friends and our universe.
Unfortunately, the God King and God Queen of the false universe will do all in their power to stop Carl, even if his defeat leads to the collapse and extinction of the universe and themselves. To make matters worse, although Carl carried the three out of the gravity wave, somehow they are in the false universe as well. It is a second contradiction that he must resolve if any of them are to survive.
Carl Prescott will face increasingly difficult challenges before this nightmare can end. First, he must rescue his friends and teachers. Second, he must convince the gods of the false universe to evacuate before it blinks out of existence. His friends will be there to help, and Emmanuel will do all He can to intercede, but the fate of both universes is in the hands of fifteen year-old Carl Sandberg Prescott yet again.
